Song: 'Puppethead'

Written By: Adam, lyrics by Gerard.

Lyrical Subject Matter: A strange ventriloquist dummy who could scare the shit out of a docker with balls the size of oranges. And he hangs from a hook above my bed! I hate the little bugger!

Verdict: This song rocks! It has a groove the size of the Grand Canyon, and some funky bass and drumz from our lovely rhythm section. In fact, we thought it was so good, we scrapped five of our other songs because they were nowhere near as good as it!

Song: 'Tonite (your head rotates)'

Written By: Adam, with Gerard supplying the verse lyrics

Lyrical Subject Matter: Loosely based on 'the Exorcist', due to Adams chorus, but the verse lyrics make no sense whatsoever. One of those songs which you are better off just listening to, and not interpreting.

Verdict: Nice. Cormac loves it, and it must be good when Adam, Mr High Standards himself, claimed it was better than Puppethead. The chorus makes you wanna jump, which is always good! Some brutal bass work from the bass oddity, too.

Song: 'Zombie Creeping Flesh'

Written By: Again, Adamski, with some Crazy ass Gerard lyrix.

Lyrical Subject Matter: Used to be called Paralyse, then used to be called Break, but I got bored and rewrote it to be about zombies.

Verdict: It rocks and it's about zombies. Look out for the plugs for zombie films. Woohoo!

Song: 'Augusta'

Written By: Shock! Horror! Adam and Gerard!

Lyrical Subject Matter: It's about my fave serial killer, Ed Gein's mum, Augusta Gein. If you don't know who he is, go to my Ed Gein page and find out, dammit!!!

Verdict: As Adam sez, the start sounds like something by Iron Maiden (what would he know - he hasn't listened to Maiden in his life!). Then it just rocks big time. Don't take my word for it, hear it for yourself. I like it anyway.

Song: 'Cut the Cable'

Written by: Adam and Gerard again.

Lyrical Subject Matter: It's like an analogy for being in an elevator with people you don't like and you want the cable to break and kill everyone! I was bored, so it has a little more depth than usual!

Verdict: Good stuff. We thought this was the shit until the next song came along and made us want to scrap everything!

Song: 'Scum'

Written by: The whole lot of us. It started as a pissabout jam, and everybody added their own part, but it turned out to be one of our best songs! We actually look forward to practicing on this one!

Lyrical Subject Matter: Goddamn. It's about a disease and zombies. Very loose, and strangely complicated!

Verdict:This song rocks big time, if I don't say so myself! According to Alex it's "the best song Machine Head never wrote", it's Cormac's new favourite (this week!) and Adam can't stop playing it! So you just gotta hear it and see what you think!

Song: 'Redrum'

Written by: Adam's music, and Cormac's words.

Lyrical Subject Matter: The most offensive lyrics I've heard in ages, thanks to Cormac. It's about killing people basically. And it's fun to be naughty, really.

Verdict: Rockin'. Adam thinks he smells his System of a Down influence in it, but well, that's just him. it rocks. And Cormac wrote the words (are you happy now, Monkey boy? I've wrote about your song!).

Song: 'Skarekrow'

Written by: Gerard and Adam

Lyrical Subject Matter: God symbolised by a scarecrow. I don't wanna go into how it symbolises God, but you can figure it out for yourself.

Verdict: This song is like a sporadic burst of craziness. It's the same one we played at our first few gis, except revamped a bit. Dug it out for old times sake.

Song: 'See You In Hell'

Written by: Gerard and Adam

Lyrical Subject Matter: Umm... ruining someone's life and their subsequent death. Hatred is nice.

Verdict: A psychobilly influence mixed with some good old thrash metal. Fuckin' brutal. Plus some sick scratching from Dave.

Song: 'The Great White Fear'

Written by: Gerard and Adam

Lyrical Subject Matter: Sharks and how scary thy are.

Verdict: Basically a Headcheese version of the Jaws theme, revamped and heavy as a concrete brontosaurus.

Song: 'Drop Dead'

Written by: Adam and Dave

Lyrical Subject Matter: According to Dave, it's about how junkies are like zombies.

Verdict: Another of our more experimental songs, with a strong funk/groove influence, bopping along like a mixture of George Clinton and Soulfly. Also Dave's first song at the lyric writing helm. And didn't he do well?

Song: 'DeBiBiDie

Written by: Gerard and Adam

Lyrical Subject Matter: It's inspired by an article on a website written by an alleged murderer who addresses himself as DeBiBi. Some creepy cryptic writing, mixed with my own lyrics. Check out Jakewheat.com for the full story and some other psychotic weirdness courtesy of my good friend Jake.

Verdict: A bit of a thrashy influence coming through here, it's a short sharp shock of sheer heaviness. Gets a bit disturbing too.
