Katy Daly's RocKD

With The DANGERFIELDS

After some last minute panicking due to Suki pulling out, we finally got our crazy chums, The Dangerfields to play. As usual they pounded through their frantic set, interspersed with truly bizarre band banter. Good fun for all the family (except any young children...).

Quite chuffed at being the top band, we took to the stage with a truly bizarre intro (apparently sounds from hell!) and then we ripped into 'Puppethead' as per usual. And of we went, and there was no place to hide as we pounded thru 7 of our own songs. 'Break' was as hate-filled as ever, and new song 'Cut the Cable' was a damn sight better live than we thought it would be! 'Augusta' came next, followed by 'Neurocide' in quick succession. My personal fave song 'Scum' erupted into the big riff monster that it was intended to be, and as usual we finished up with 'Tonite', hopefully leaving punters saying 'What in the name of God just happened?'.

Altogether we put on possibly our best show yet, and with our best sound so far. And due to the overall good mood of the band, the whole vibe was far more upbeat and energetic than the last RocKD gig. So there you go!

Big cheerz to the Distortion Project, The Dangerfields, Spindrift (who lent us their kit!) and all the people who turned up, especially our mates, who help to make us look more popular than we actually are, and my lady, Fionnuala for keeping me from freaking out!
